Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum has named Frida Escobedo Studio the recipient of the 2026 National Design Award for Architecture, part of the museum’s annual National Design Awards program.

Established in 2000 as an official project of the White House Millennium Council, the awards recognize excellence and leadership in design across disciplines. Winners are selected by a multidisciplinary jury of practitioners, educators, and design leaders and will be honored at the National Design Awards Gala on May 19 in New York City.
