The Metropolitan Museum of Art has revealed its collaboration with Frida Escobedo Studio for the design of the Oscar L. Tang and H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang Wing, a project dedicated to showcasing The Met’s 20th- and 21st-century art collection.
Marking a historic milestone, Frida Escobedo is the first woman in the institution's 154-year history to lead the design of a wing. The project reimagines 70,000 square feet of gallery space, prioritizing accessibility, sustainability, and seamless connectivity within The Met’s intricate architectural framework. Its completion is slated for 2030, signaling an exciting new chapter for The Met.
All inquiries related to The Met should be directed to their press team. While we will not provide additional statements, they can supply the press kit as needed.
